'Drapes Designs' curtain and blind shop at 76 High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill, was opened 11 years ago by Stuart Roberts, who has spent all his working life in the curtain trade.

His customers find the personal service and excellent workmanship provided by Drapes Designs is superior to that found in many large chainstores. Measuring and estimating is free and there is a making and fitting service available to customers.

"We try to cater for all," says Stuart. "When we make home visits we make suggestions, but we are not interior designers!"

Customers are spoilt for choice with a wide range of curtains by leading names such as Crowson, Blendworth, Hardys and Prestigious Textiles. The shop also sells Sunway, Sunseeker and Luxflex blinds as well curtain accessories.
