Sponsored line-dance raises cash for Marie Curie
Published: Thursday, 06 June 2013 07:10

Dancers at Dancezing have raised £800 in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care's Great Daffodil Appeal by holding a Daffodil Dance Event.

The local line-dance group held the sponsored dance event throughout March, with members learning and performing specially choreographed line-dance and salsa routines for the fundraiser. A social night was held at the end of the month with dancing, a raffle and a competition for the best Easter bonnet.

All money raised from the event will allow Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
