Pinks Funeral Directors in Hamsey Green held an Open Day recently so that local residents could view their premises, meet the team and learn more about the role Pinks play in the local community.

As Manager and Funeral Director, Gareth Welsh explained: "We want people to know that although we are now part of a larger group called Funeral Partners Limited, we still offer our customers the personal service and choices of an independent firm."

He added: "We do not just do funerals - we get out in to the community!"

Pinks did just that at the Caterham Carnival when Gareth drove a hearse containing the Wicked Witch of the East in the Wizard of Oz part of the parade, drawing quite a bit of attention!

Other community projects that Pinks have been involved in include sponsoring the printing of the Warlingham Fair progamme and sponsoring a hole at the Caterham Rotary Golf Day. Pinks were also involved in the recent Carers' Week in Croydon.
