Review by Julia Church After years in the planning and having overcome numerous obstacles, The Comodor Mediterranean restaurant finally opened for business last month. Keith said: "If you like Chorizo then you will love this starter!" You can also select any of the main pasta dishes for a starter at ¡ê2 less than the main course price. For my main course I chose one of the Specials of the Day, Chicken Parmijano (¡ê10.50) which was chicken with melted Parmesan and Mozarella cheese on top with a tomato sauce, that comes with a choice of vegetables or pasta. Superb! Keith chose a pasta dish, the Penne Siciliana (with aubergines) which he described simply as: "Beautiful - that is the first word that comes into my head!" Other main courses to choose from are Risotto Comodor, Paella and Lasagne. Diners at The Comodor For steak lovers, one of the Specials of the Day was Sirloin Steak at ¡ê11.50. To end the meal there is a choice of wonderful home-made desserts and I would recommend the creamy Pancotta! The wines and beers come from all over Europe and our friendly waiter, Manuel, recommended the Rioja, ¡ê13.95, which went very well with our meal. The Comodor serves Sunday Lunch for ¡ê5.95 and weekday lunchtimes you can have any pizza, pasta or burger with a beer, wine or soft drink for just ¡ê6.95. Enjoy! |
