Staff at Little Treasures nursery are very proud to have been awarded 'Outstanding' in their recent government Ofsted inspection. Little Treasures opened nearly 11 years ago in The Village in Caterham- on-the-Hill. It takes care of children from birth to five years old and is run by two trained teachers who have years of experience and expertise in childcare. The Ofsted inspection recognised the loving, happy environment of the nursery which bases its children's development around the security and care of a happy family. The report stated: "The overall quality of the provision is outstanding. The nursery provides a highly effective learning environment for the children and promotes all aspects of their learning and welfare to a high standard. The children have a wonderful time and thrive in the exemplary care they receive. Consequently the children make excellent progress in all areas of their development, overall. The children's unique needs are fully supported as a result of the dedicated staff team, partnerships with parents, carers and others involved in the care of the children." The staff and managers were praised for their commitment and motivation which provides the children at the nursery with the best possible environment in which to develop and flourish. The facilities, standard of equipment, safety and location of the nursery were also given the highest accolade. Hilary Gilbert, one of the managers, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the 'outstanding' rating.
