It is hard to believe that we have been open five years at Hamsey Green Children's Centre! We started life in a small hut with just one member of staff providing one weekly Stay and Play session and now we operate from a purpose built building with an outside play area and have three members of staff working together to provide a variety of services for families with children up to five.

Receptionist Lea welcomes everyone into our Centre with a smile and is here to provide information and advice. Caroline leads the sessions with lots of enthusiasm and also visits families who need a little extra support at home.

As manager I bring everything together to provide a variety of services where families can enjoy, achieve and have fun. Together we provide:

Our New Parents Group, which is friendly, informal and a great way for new parents to make friends in a relaxed environment. The Health Team come along to provide an 'Introducing Family Foods' session every six weeks. Come along for tips and information and find out how to enjoy family foods together. At Stay and Play we have lots of fun whilst learning together, enjoying interactive and sometimes messy activities led by Caroline.

At the Well Baby Clinic, the Health Team assisted by Caroline are on hand to help you weigh your baby and offer information and advice.

Tatty Bumpkin is an interactive, story telling session lead by Caroline. Baby Bumpkin is a special time for you and your baby. Enjoy a variety of sensory activities lead by Caroline in a relaxing baby-friendly environment. If you have not been along to the Children's Centre you are invited to join us in celebrating our fifth birthday with a party for the under fives and their grown-ups on Thursday 30th May from 10am-1pm. There will be craft activities, birthday cakes to decorate, a 'High 5' obstacle course, a '1, 2, 3,4, 5' rock pool, themed 'five' nursery rhymes, musical activities, a picnic lunch, birthday cake and much more.
