A ‘Dahlicious’ day at Oasis Academy!
Published: Thursday, 07 November 2013 00:47

On Friday 27th September Oasis Academy Coulsdon was taken over by Oompa-Loompas, Big Friendly Giants, Grand High Witches and Giant Peaches!

The event was all part of the planned 'Dahlicious Dress-up Day', where students in Years 7 and 8 went to the Academy dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character for a fun and creative way to raise money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

Staff were involved too by dressing up and also organising fundraising activities throughout the day, raising nearly £200 for charity.

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity exists to make seriously ill children's lives better and believes that every child has the right to a good quality of life, no matter how ill they are.

English teacher and event organiser Jessica Billington said: "We may have all looked like Twits, but it was all in a good cause!"
