It has been another great year for the senior girls at Dunottar School in Reigate, Surrey, where excellent results have been achieved in 'A' and 'AS' Level examinations yet again. Once again we have a 100% pass rate with over 75% of all the grades being awarded A* - B. Dunottar prides itself on offering girls a well-structured and diverse educational experience rather than a hot house for academic results alone and this year's pupils have shown that it is possible to have fun and enjoy a balanced school life whilst still achieving excellent results in public examinations that are so important in securing their futures. Headmistress Nikki Matthews said: "With news that more students will find it harder to find university places this year and in the future, it is especially pleasing to see that Dunottar girls continue to excel in their chosen fields of study and achieve places at some of the best universities in the country." Those who had taken their GCSEs at Dunottar this summer also had plenty to celebrate. Over half the results were graded either A or A* which is a wonderful result for the school. Headmistress Nikki Matthews said: "We are delighted once again with our GCSE results which reflect the hard work and dedication of the girls and all of the staff at the school. Almost a quarter of our GCSE candidates achieved at least eight A or A* grades." The GCSE students can now look forward to their AS and A Level studies at Dunottar where they will have the chance to specialise in the subjects of their choice and benefit from the excellent facilities and teaching Dunottar has to offer.
