On Tuesday 21^st September, all the old Dunottar school uniform was sorted and packed up for Potters House in Africa - a Christian missionary-run school for orphans in Ghana.

In one afternoon a dedicated team of volunteers sorted and packed up around 250 old style blazers and a similar quantity of kilts, tunics, games kits, shirts, jumpers, coats and miscellaneous other items. Any kit not deemed of sufficiently good quality was sent for recycling – so nothing went to waste!.

The day before, the school was in urgent need of packing boxes in order to complete this exercise and kindly B & E Removals, from Newchapel, Lingfield stepped in at the last minute and supplied 30 large boxes and tape etc. Later that afternoon, The Revd. IAN Cooper and his wife Jacky collected the packed boxes for onward shipment to Africa.

According to Ian and Jacky, Dunottar School can be sure that the old school uniform will be put to very good use amongst the children at Potters House who have very little of their own.
