When the Essendene School Christmas Fair had to be cancelled due to the snow, the organisers renamed the event the 'Frost Fair' and held it on Saturday January 15th.

Visitors packed the hall where craft stalls and other attractions proved very popular and the event raised nearly £1,200.

Jane Hard of the PTA said: "We are really pleased the Fair has been such a success and would like to thank everyone who came for their support."
