Cars: VW Golf. Pets: Annie the Spannie (blue roan cocker spaniel). Childhood hero: Ian Botham. Favourite Food & Drink: Roast Duck and a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Pastimes: Theatre, live music, films. Likes: Loyalty, justice, when society cares for the most vulnerable, playing the piano and accordion, folk music and curries. Dislikes: Hypocrites, small mindedness, Michael Gove and EastEnders (and all soaps). Favourite TV show: West Wing. Favourite books: 'Cloud Atlas' by David Mitchell and the Collected Poems by R.S.
