The members of local rock band 'Edged' have been together for a year and what a year it has been! Much has happened for them since winning 'Tandridge has Talent' at the DeFest Music Festival last summer. In March the band were delighted to be the winners of the exciting Battle of the Bands competition at The Arc in Caterham which featured local bands giving excellent performances of a very high standard.

On Sunday May 15th Edged are entering the third round of the Live & Unsigned music competition being held in Basildon, having made it through the first two auditions. The band hopes to reach the National Final of the competition that will take place at London's 02 Arena on Saturday 23rd July.

The five piece rock band features Will Evans on vocals, Brad Steer on guitar, Toby Draper on bass guitar, Jack Evans on keyboards and John Godly on drums. The musicians are aged between 15-17 years.

Band member Brad Steer said: "We would like to say a big 'thank you' to DeFest organiser Mark Jones who has given us the headline act at this year's DeFest being held at de Stafford School on 18th June. He has also invited us to broadcast a show on Ridge Radio which should be a fun-packed evening!"
