There was lots of lively fun to be enjoyed at the Medieval Day held in Church Walk, Caterham on Saturday, 20th August.
The ever-popular shop window competition was hosted by First Choice Travel, where children have to spot an item in a shop window that they do not sell. The highlight of the afternoon was the fancy dress competition, won by eight year-old Matthew Hurcombe from Caterham who dressed as a knight. Princess Penny Hurcombe came second and Princess Isabelle Haynes came third.

Shoppers were entertained by the Jolly Jester and Medieval Maid as well as the Centre Team dressed as Knights of the Realm and their Ladies. Lady Sonia, the herald for the day greeted shoppers and children had their faces painted by Bubblegum Face Painting.
