Almost £900 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Relief at a fundraising coffee morning hosted by Tandridge District Council Chairman, Councillor Brian Perkins, on Friday 30th September at the Council Offices, Oxted. Tandridge District Council was taking part in Macmillan's annual fundraising event - the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

Councillor Brian Perkins said: "I am delighted we managed to raise this much for Macmillan Cancer Relief through the coffee morning. Thank you to everyone who came along, bought raffle tickets and made donations. I would also like to thank the local businesses which donated prizes for the raffle."

Last year over £8 million was raised at coffee mornings around the country. Every donation, whether 50p or £50, will help Macmillan continue providing much needed support. This could be practical help with everyday tasks, financial advice and assistance to help with the unexpected costs of cancer, emotional support or expert medical care from a Macmillan professional.
