Appeal for information after spate of graffiti damage in Caterham
Published: Friday, 09 December 2011 00:00

Officers in Tandridge are appealing for information after damage was caused to property across Caterham due to graffiti.

Several graffiti 'tags' have appeared across the town over recent weeks and officers are keen to speak to anyone with information about who is responsible for this damage to contact them.

Officers are actively seeking the authors of the tags "ZORO" and "MASH"

Neighbourhood officer for Caterham Hill and Chaldon PCSO Vicky Semour, said: "This graffiti is an eye-sore for anyone in the area and has damaged several items across the town. Graffiti can seriously damage the reputation of an area and can lead to other anti-social issues and we want to prevent this from happening.

"These tags are mindless acts of criminal damage and we need to find those responsible before they cause more damage."

Anyone with information on the graffiti is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference P11360062 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
