Caterham's shoppers are getting an easy opportunity to enter a £1,000 prize draw, simply by shopping in the town! A free passport is being issued from today to shoppers by participating shops. Each time a purchase of £5 and over is made, the passport can be stamped by any participating outlet. When ten stamps have been collected and the passport handed in, it becomes an entry to the prize draw. It could not be simpler! Shops are being offered the opportunity to join Shop Smart for free during the next two months while the passport scheme runs. Each shop also gets a web page on Shop Smart's web site. The scheme is to reward loyal shoppers in Caterham and also to help local retailers. If the scheme is a success it will be repeated, based on attracting some sponsors and contributions from participating shops. So, get your passports and look for the window display. Conditions: The completed passport must be handed in by April 27th for this first draw and valid entries must include a Shop Smart membership number. Free Shop Smart Member's cards are available from JJ Browne Jewellers and Peter Groom Jewellers in Caterham Valley and Vivace Pianos, Computer Solutions, Caterham Oak & Pine and The Arc in Caterham-on-the-Hill. Prize Fund: Cash value of £1,000, split as 1st prize £750, 2nd £150, ten prizes of £10. Other prizes as donated by retailers. One of the organisers of the scheme, Chris Windridge, said: "We are delighted to bring this exciting idea to Caterham's shoppers, plus retail and service businesses. It is a very simple concept and we have used the remaining funding from ABC's loyalty scheme grant to launch it, plus other local contributions. We hope to get more shops to join and it is part of our efforts to improve Caterham. We look forward to many entries!" |
