The P&G Surrey Youth Games is the largest annual youth sporting event in Surrey and involves over 3,500 young people across the county. Team Tandridge is looking for enthusiastic individuals who live and/or go to school in the district to compete in the P&G 2012 Surrey Youth Games being held on 16th and 17th June at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford. The P&G Surrey Youth Games enable young people to play a range of sports at a competitive level, against teams from the other ten boroughs and districts of Surrey. It is a great opportunity to make some new friends and try your hand at some sports that you may not have played before. One of the main aims of the games is to encourage young people to develop their sporting skills and promote physical activity as well as fair play in sport. There are 12 different sports included in this year's games and Tandridge Trust will be running free and open trials and training sessions in the following sports: Badminton, Basketball, Boccia, Boxing, Cricket, Girls Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Squash, Swimming, and Tennis. The trials start from 17th April and are open to Juniors from Year 3 and Seniors up to Year 11. If you are too old to compete in the Games, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities to get involved with which means you get great experience and can still support Tandridge.
