The Tandridge Art Society (TAS) is holding its 36th Annual Art Exhibition at the Soper Hall in Harestone Valley Road, Caterham this weekend. 201 paintings are on display, as well as craft items that can be purchased. Amongst the exhibits is new work by Jackie Flaherty, winner of last year's Curzon Price award, given to the painting that is voted the favourite by visitors to the show. TAS Chairman, Mike Harrington, said: "I think the exhibition is even better than it was last year. The standard was very high last year, but the artists have been working hard to produce a lot of excellent paintings for this year's show. We hope that, despite it being the Easter holidays, we still get plenty of visitors coming to enjoy the show." If you get the chance, pop in to see the exhibition which is free entry, has lovely craft items for sale including very reasonably priced greetings cards and features many beautiful works by our local artists. The show is open until 6pm today (Friday) and from 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-3pm Easter Sunday, the final day of the show. |
