Remembering the fallen
Published: Saturday, 12 December 2009 04:34

Uniformed groups of all ages, councillors, representatives of Surrey Police, marching bands and the public took part in Remembrance Day parades and services across the District last month. At Warlingham Green, the Chairman of Tandridge District Council Glynnis Whittle, Chief Executive of TDC Stephen Weigel, Peter Ainsworth MP and Tandridge Neighbourhood Inspector, Elaine Burtenshaw paid their respects at the town's war memorial at Warlingham Green. War veterans were also present, including the Chairman of the Warlingham branch of the Royal British Legion, Harold Webberley (pictured above) who served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers during World War II.

Caterham Guides march back from the Remembrance Day Service at St. Mary's Church, Caterham-on-the-Hill. View our website for more Remembrance Day photos.
