Surrey Police is appealing for witness following a serious two vehicle collision in Warlingham earlier this month. The incident took place around 5.50pm on Monday, 9th April when the vehicles, a red Honda Prelude and a green Mazda MX5, were travelling along Limpsfield Road. The collision took place near to Knights Garden Centre about a mile outside of Warlingham town in the direction of Limpsfield. The driver of the Honda, a woman in her 50s was trapped in her car following the collision and crews from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene to free her from the vehicle. Ambulance crews also attended the scene and the drivers who were also the sole occupants of the vehicles were taken to St Georges Hospital, Tooting for treatment to serious facial injuries. The Honda driver remains in a stable condition in hospital with her injuries. Road closures were in place along the B269, Ledger Road, Limpsfield Road and Beech Farm Road while emergency crews attended the scene and recovery for the vehicles was made. Diversions were put in place and all closures were lifted around 10pm. Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses of the collision or anyone who witnessed the manner of driver of either vehicle before the incident took place. Police are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a medium sized MPV style vehicle which the Mazda may have been following prior to the incident.
