UPDATE: Four men arrested in connection with Caterham armed robbery |

A further two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Caterham on Friday 19th April where a cash delivery driver was threatened with what officers believe was a firearm. The incident took place around 12pm and officers from Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Team, Targeted Patrol Teams and CID were soon on the scene and with the aid of specialist units including firearms unit and the force helicopter a thorough search took place in a bid to locate those responsible. Neighbouring forces including The Metropolitan Police Service, Kent Police and Sussex Police also assisted with the search. Two men were arrested about an hour after the robbery took place and two other men were arrested shortly afterwards bringing the total to four arrests in connection with this incident. All of the men were arrested in the New Addington area by The Metropolitan Police Service. Croydon Road was closed in both directions while an initial investigation was carried out but was re-opened to the public around 3.30pm.
