An action shot taken by Scout, Ben Burke, has won a recent photography competition organised for local Scouts and Cubs. The competition, sponsored by The Caterham and District Independent and Caterham Digital Limited attracted entries in four different categories - 'Scouting', 'Landscape', 'Wildlife' and 'Favourite' and the photos had to be taken on disposable cameras so that they could not be digitally enhanced. Ben wins a £25 voucher to spend in Caterham Digital in Croydon Road, Caterham and his photo will be enlarged and framed. The three Highly Commended entries have each won a £10 voucher for Caterham Digital. They go to Scout Adam Stone for his photo of a surprise balloon landing in Queen's Park on 11th March; Cub Niamh Burke for her colourful landscape photograph taken in Chaldon and Cub Caris Carpenter for her photo of a daffodil garden taken in Tupwood Lane, Caterham. |
