Marie Curie Cancer Care is calling on people in the Surrey area to join in the charity's Blooming Great Tea Party celebrations this summer. To launch the event Crystal Alice (alias Crystal Rose Carty age 6) dressed as Alice in Wonderland, her sister Scarlett Mae Carty (age 3) and Volunteer Press Officer, Karen Green joined Crystal Palace Players for at a photocall at the club's training ground. The cakes donated for the photocall were kindly donated by Coughlans of Croydon and the Olympic teapot by Sainsbury's in Warlingham. Surrey residents are invited to hold their own tea party anytime during June and July, to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Your tea party, however big or small, will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide free end–of-life care for local people in their own homes. You can hold your party wherever you want - at home, work, in your local club or school. The party could be anything from tea with friends to an elegant high tea or a sports-club match tea - the ideas are endless. Every pound raised will help Marie Curie Nurses look after someone with a terminal illness, so raise your cup and join in the fun of the Blooming Great Tea Party. Marie Curie has put together a free pack containing lots of things to help you organise your party along with some fundraising ideas and themes to inspire and help you raise money.
