The residents of Chaldon and their friends and relatives will be holding a Diamond Jubilee picnic on Tuesday 5th June in Six Brothers Field from 1-5pm. Chaldon Village Council have organised a number of special actiivities for the day with musical entertainment including a performance by the young singing group 'Charisma' who will be performing to raise funds for the children's hospice Shooting Star Chase and a local talent contest. There will be a Fancy Dress Pageant on the theme of Kings and Queens for children under 11 with prizes.

To work up an appetite for the picnic there will also be sporting events including traditional fun games and a Tug of War. The awards will be presented by the King and Queen of Chalvedune. There will be a beer tent, barbecue and teas and don't forget your picnic!

There is a small amount of parking for elderly and disabled on the field, entrance on Hilltop Lane.
