MP for East Surrey, Sam Gyimah, visited Knights Garden Centre in Woldingham yesterday (31st May) to plant a Copper Beech tree to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Knights' staff and guests joined Sam in the beautiful grounds of Woldingham Dene next to the garden centre to celebrate the occasion. Duncan Knight, who helped to organise the event, said: "We chose a Copper Beech tree because Beech trees are indigenous to this area and there is already a mature Copper Beech tree opposite to where we are planting this new tree. We wanted to do something special to mark the Diamond Jubilee and are delighted that Sam could come along and support the event." |
