The playground in Queen's Park, Caterham-on-the-Hill is providing the outdoors setting for one of the Caterham Festival's most magical events next week. The professional theatre company Another Way Theatre Ltd. Is presenting Shakespeare's brilliant summer spectacle, A Midsummer Night's Dream from 21st-23rd June. The production prides itself on being inventive, inspiring and suitable for a family audience. Artistic Director of Another Way Theatre Ltd, Chris Chambers, grew up in Queen's Park Road and is thrilled to be back in town, with his wife, actress Nicola Chambers who will play Titania in the production. Chris says: "Take the natural design of a swing park and a Shakespeare play - add professional actors, lights, sound and original music played live on acoustic instruments – a fairy or seven and a Pimm's Tent – and you have the perfect mix for a summer evening's entertainment. Bringing local professional actors together to perform quality work in the heart of the community has been a dream of mine. Being part of The Caterham Festival has helped us make this a possibility. And at £5 a ticket it is way cheaper than Regent's Park!" Tickets cost £5 in advance and £7 on the night. The show starts at 8pm on 21st-23rd June, at Queen's Park, CR3 5RB. There will also be a 3pm performance on 23rd June, with pre-show face painting for children from 2pm. To book tickets ring The Arc on 01883 330380.
