The sale of refreshments at No Name Jive's recent Diamond Jubilee Tea Dance raised an incredible £561.59 for Brain Tumour UK. The Tea Dance was held in the Community Centre in the High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill during the Caterham Festival Street Party on Sunday 3rd June. Julie Candy of No Name Jive said: 'Thanks to the sterling efforts of our crack team of delicious cake makers we raised this fantastic sum of money in loving memory of our friends Terry and Chris. This is a magnificent sum of money for our little dance club and I would like to say 'thank you' to all those who came along, danced and ate cake!" No Name Jive hold regular swing dance classes and functions at 'The Swing Joint' at the Caterham Ex-Serviceman's Club in Townend, Caterham-on-the-Hill. For more information www.nonamejive.co.uk |
