Surrey County Council's leader has been given a key role with a major regional body representing councils across the South East. David Hodge, who lives in Caterham, has been elected deputy chairman of South East England Councils. Gordon Keymer is the new chairman. Mr Hodge said: "It's an honour to take on this role for a body representing the collective interests of such a large number of councils in the South East. "We will provide a single voice for the region by setting out economic, social and environmental priorities." |
