St Catherine's Hospice is holding its second fundraising concert in Woldingham School's beautiful Dineen Auditorium in Surrey, on Friday 14th September at 8pm. The show will be hosted by BBC newsreader Nicholas Owen and will feature performances from acts including award-winning women's barbershop chorus Surrey Harmony, Britain's Got Talent stars The Celtic Colleens, classical flautist Julie Groves and the stunning Legat Ballet. Nicholas Owen said, "St Catherine's plays such an important role in this area and makes a very real difference to the lives of so many people. I am delighted to show my support by hosting this special concert which will raise vital funds for the care they provide to local people when it's needed most." In 2010, the first concert raised over £6,500 for St Catherine's and this year they are hoping to raise even more. Tickets for the concert are now on sale priced £15 for adults and £10 for under 16's. With only 30% government funding, this year they need to raise £5m through voluntary donations in order to continue providing their services to local people and their families, friends and carers completely free of charge. You can support your local hospice by attending this event. |
