Come dancing with the WEA
Published: Friday, 21 September 2012 11:22

This month the WEA (Workers' Educational Association) is launching a range of adult dance classes at its new home at Soper Hall in Caterham's Harestone Valley Road. Led by professional dance tutor Carolyn Keown, classes include Ballet for Fun & Fitness, Tap and LATINOcise! - a hi-energy, low-impact dance workout. The classes are suitable for all ages and abilities and there are sessions during the day and in the evening.

Carolyn says: "Basically you are exercising without thinking you are exercising, which makes it less of a chore. Dance is much more social – it's nice to be part of a group. And there is always a lot of laughter! Also there is a huge sense of achievement when you have mastered a dance. You are learning new skills and getting fit at the same time."

The WEA works in partnership with East Surrey College to provide a vibrant dance programme across the area. It also has classes across Redhill, Reigate and Godstone. For more information visit www.southern.wea.org.uk or call Freephone 0800 328 1060.
