Purley Speakers are holding a Library Event at Purley Library on Saturday 27th October at 2pm. The event is free and is an opportunity for people to find out what Purley Speakers are all about. There will be 'taster' session and observers can participate if they wish, but there will be no pressure to do so. Tessa Adams of Purley Speakers explained how members can gain confidence from the sessions: "It is true that some people would rather go to the moon that speak in a group," she said. "However, through practice within the Purley Speakers' laboratory of communication, you can gain confidence in your ability to speak 'on your feet', using body language, effective listening, and passing on what you learn on to others."

Whether you are an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or retired, Purley Speakers will help you gain the skills to express yourself in a variety of situations.
