Dog owner James Bodsworth from Caterham always knew Smudge was a bit of a star – and now he is to feature in pet food company James Wellbeloved's calendar for 2013!

Smudge, who was only 10 weeks old in the photo, is a Black Labrador and will feature as the main September picture in the calendar. James said: "I'm absolutely delighted that Smudge's photo was chosen, and it's really exciting to think his picture will be up around homes all over the country next year! We were so pleased to hear that we'd won the James Wellbeloved calendar competition, and I'm sure there will be some extra treats for Smudge too!"
