Louise Round has been appointed as Tandridge District Council’s new Chief Executive.

She will take up her post on 7 January 2013, replacing existing Chief Executive Stephen Weigel, who is retiring.

Louise is currently the Corporate Director of Resources at the London Borough of Islington, where she has worked for the past 11 years.

Before that she was the Head of Legal Services at Hammersmith & Fulham Council for a number of years.

Commenting on her new job Louise said: “I am really looking forward to joining Tandridge District, building on the excellent work Stephen Weigel and his staff are doing, to take forward the priorities of the Council. Tandridge is a beautiful part of the country and I am sure I will enjoy working there.

Leader of the Council, Councillor Gordon Keymer, said: “We are delighted Louise has accepted the position. Stephen will be a hard act to follow, but I am confident Louise will work with staff and councillors to continue to enhance and provide the excellent services our residents have come to expect.”
