Today Waitrose Caterham is celebrating 30 years of being in the town. Waitrose has two partners that have been with the store since the day it opened, Carolyn Rumble and Suzanne Corps. They were at either end of the ribbon that was cut by Waitrose customer Mrs Sparrow. Other customers joining in the celebrations were Mr Sparrow, Mr and Mrs Eldershaw and Harold who have all been customers since the day the store opened for business. A few faithful customers received a bottle of champagne, flowers and a celebratory Waitrose mug.

Waitrose Section Manager, Nicola Reeve said: "We would like to thank the various local councillors for taking time out of their busy schedules to help us celebrate our day. We love being part of Caterham and as most people know, we like to do as much as possible to support the local community."
