The Bishop of Croydon, The Rt Revd Nick Baines visited St. Peter and St. Paul CofE School in Chaldon this week to formally open and dedicate the school's new 'Purple Room'.  The room, which is equipped with audio and visual display equipment and a food preparation area, will be used for group activities by the schoolchildren as well as local community groups.  The light and spacious room backs on to the school playing field and has its own access away from the main school entrance, which means that community groups can use the room during school hours.  Chaldon Parish Council and the Chaldon Youth Group are now using the new room for their meetings.
