Forensic examination of bones found in Chaldon
Published: Tuesday, 13 November 2012 15:03

Surrey Police officers were called to an address in Church Lane, Chaldon, at around 2pm on Tuesday, 6th November following a report from a member of the public.  A contractor carrying out work at the address reported concerns at the discovery of some bones in an outbuilding at the property. At this early stage Surrey Police is not in a position to confirm whether the bones are human and officers are awaiting the findings of forensic examinations. Scenes of Crime Officers (SOCO) and officers will be remaining at the location while enquiries continue.

The bones have been carbon dated and are estimated to be hundreds of years old. The matter is not being investigated as suspicious.
