See Father Christmas in a Caterham 7! |

At 4.30pm on Friday 23rd November Sonia Hunt, the Town Crier, will be at the Asprey Fountain in Caterham Town Centre to oversee the switching on of the Christmas lights in Caterham Valley. Later on at 6pm Father Christmas will be switching the Christmas lights on at the Church Walk Shopping Centre to launch the late night shopping event. He will arrive in a Caterham Car led by Caterham Cubs, Caterham District Girl Guides and a lantern procession at 5.45pm before singing carols around the Christmas tree with festive lanterns. There will be entertainment in Church Walk from 3pm until 8pm with Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and Christmas Lunacy. The Caterham Baptist Church will be carol singing from 4.30pm-6pm - donations to ASBF. Many of the shops in Church Walk and the nearby roads wil be open until 7pm for Christmas shopping. This year the event in Church Walk will be supported by the local community and charity stalls with their games of chance.
