Bond film theme tunes were the very topical musical accompaniment to this year's firework display organised by Caterham Round Table held in the Dene Field on Saturday 3rd November. The display was preceded by a torchlight procession along the High Street to the Dene Field before the lighting of the enormous bonfire. The Round Table was helped on the night by both the Caterham Rotary Clubs, 1st Caterham (St. Mary's) and 5th Caterham (Sacred Heart) Scout Groups, the 9th Caterham Girl Guides, St. John Ambulance, Surrey Police, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and the Caterham 41 Club. Earlier in the day the judging took place of the Build-a-Guy competition that was won this year by nine-year-old Charlotte Tracy and her five-year-old brother Matthew (pictured with Caterham Round Table chairman Peter Dommett) with their Guy modelled on the scathing judge Craig Revel Horwood from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing! |
