Write a message of remembrance this Christmas
Published: Friday, 07 December 2012 10:50

St Catherine's Hospice is running an initiative where people can write a message of remembrance for a loved one or a message of support for a hospice nurse and hang it on the Christmas tree in their charity shop window in Croydon Road, Caterham.

Shop Manager, Emma Glass hopes local people will take part in this initiative. She said: "Christmas is a time to remember those who are no longer with us so please support St Catherine's by writing your own message. Just pop into our charity shop in Croydon Road in Caterham and for a suggested donation of £2 you will be given a Christmas tag on which to write your message, before it is hung on the tree in the window. It's a lovely way to remember someone special and to support the hospice at the same time."

It costs St Catherine's Hospice around £130,000 to care for patients and families in East Surrey and Mid Sussex, over the 12 days of Christmas. If you would like to help, visit www.stch.org.uk to make a donation or visit www.stch.org.uk/christmas where you can buy virtual gifts, Christmas cards and gift lottery membership.
