A man in his 30s has been charged with four counts of theft from motor vehicle and one count of burglary following several incidents in Horley and Caterham.
The charges relate to the incidents below:
- Theft of several thousand pounds worth of power tools from a garage on Oakside Lane in Horley overnight between Sunday, 25 November and Monday, 26 November.
- Theft of several thousand pounds worth of power tools from a silver Vauxhall Astra van parked on Fieldview in Horley overnight between Sunday, 25 November and Monday, 26 November.
- Theft of several hundred pounds worth of power tools from a grey Vauxhall Astra van parked on Stafford Road in Caterham during the early hours of Tuesday, 4 December.
- Theft of several hundred pounds worth of power tools from a white Ford KA parked on Stafford Road in Caterham overnight between Monday, 3 December and Tuesday, 4 December.
- Theft from a silver Vauxhall Astra van parked on Stafford Road in Caterham overnight between Monday, 3 December and Tuesday, 4 December.
Christopher Fahey, 35, from Standfield Road in Dagenham was remanded in custody and appeared at South East Surrey Magistrates court on Thursday, 6 December where he was bailed conditionally until Thursday, 31 January to appear again at South East Surrey Magistrates Court.
