The Caterham Rotary Club is seeking to help collect 30,000 second-hand books to stock school libraries for The Fundanami Trust to aid literacy and to develop school libraries in KwaZuluNatal in South Africa. The Trust plan to ship the next container to Durban in March 2013. Are you able to help? Caterham Rotary mainly collects second-hand books in good condition. Most books for children from age 3-16 are useful. Specific needs include: • Cloth and board books • Picture books • Early readers • Fiction for all ages • Atlases • Poetry anthologies • Simple information books • Dictionaries and reference books • Single volume encyclopaedias • Annuals less than five years old • Sets of class readers. Caterham Rotary does not need: Adult fiction, textbooks, study guides, foreign language books and anything featuring English history and traditions or the geography of the UK or Europe. Any books we receive which are not suitable will be passed to charity shops.
