This month we feature local resident, Jenny Green. Jenny is a professional jazz singer and hosts a show on Ridge Radio every Friday from 11am-1pm. Children: Two beautiful daughters. Cars: A Renault Clio. Childhood hero: David Cassidy. Favourite Food & Drink: Macaroni cheese washed down with a nice glass of Shiraz. Pastimes: Anything that involves music, listening or performing. A nice long country walk or swim, and gardening. Likes: Learning new songs and waking up to hear the birds singing. Dislikes: Rude drivers, especially bus drivers! Favourite TV show: Dr Who. Favourite books: I used to love reading the Famous Five books when I was young. Who would you most like to throw a custard pie at? Gordon Ramsey - he's rude! Favourite song of all time: 'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong. Biggest influence on your life: My husband. Favourite holiday destination: Kefelonia in Greece. Proudest moment: Apart from the birth of my daughters, winning a national Singing Championship at The Brighton Centre in front of my mum and thousands of people. Most embarrassing moment: When I fell over, flat on the floor beneath the feet of a certain famous trumpet player! Where would you most like to live? I'd love to live in Normandy, France. Who would you most like to meet? I'd love to meet Michael Buble but if I did I'd get tongue tied. If you won the Lottery jackpot, how would you spend it? I would invest in a music business because as a family it is something we are all interested in. I would employ a piano player to play for me every day on a grand piano. |
