This half term children under five and their parents or guardians can experience a piece of specially commissioned theatre, for free, at Kestrels Children's Centre in Croydon Road, Caterham. 'Rockpool' is a rocky, salty, splashy tale about two very different creatures which are left stranded in a rock pool after a big storm. Prawn and Crab don't have long to find a way of getting on and getting home before their little pool starts to drain away. This funny, tender exuberant, partially submerged theatre is brought to Caterham by award-winning company Inspector Sands and contains 'loud rock music and splashy dancing!' This original theatre piece was commissioned by Arts Partnership Surrey, in partnership with Take Art, and was able to then attract further funding from Arts Council England for its development. The piece will be shown at locations across Surrey during a two week period before it also tours in the South West of England. Rockpool performances in Caterham have been arranged by Tandridge Trust and will take place at 11am and 2pm on Tuesday 19th February.
