Students at The Orpheus Centre in Godstone were treated to some lively Bollywood moves recently, when members of Caterham Round Table visited the centre which teaches performing arts to students with disabilities. The special visit was arranged in order to present the students with a cheque for £12,500. The money was the proceeds of the Caterham Round Table 'Bollywood Ball' held last January at the Effingham Park Hotel in Copthorne. Around 400 guests attended the glamorous event, many of them entering into the spirit of the occasion and dressing up in true Bollywood style. The founder of The Orpheus Centre, songwriter Richard Stilgoe, was guest of honour at the ball. Chairman of Caterham Round Table, Peter Dommett, said: "We must say a massive thank you to all of the members, friends and family members of Caterham Round Table for all of the hard work they've put in ahead of this year's annual charity ball, all helping to make it one of the best ever." Caterham Round Table is an organisation for men aged between 18-45 who would like to have fun, try new experiences, meet new people and put something back into the community. The group meets on Tuesday evenings at The Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon. They would be delighted to welcome visitors who would like to find out more about Caterham Round Table.
