Last year on Monday 14th May, Caterham Rotary Club held their annual Charity Golf day. Despite inclement weather conditions 92 golfers took part and still had a very enjoyable day's golf at Bletchingley Golf Club. Just over £4,000 was raised which was split equally between The Children's Trust Tadworth and Rotary supported Charities. Last Thursday, 28th March, Tina Devenish from The Children's Trust joined the Rotarians at their lunch time meeting at Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon, when the members presented her with a cheque for £2,000. The event organiser Rotarian David Monk commented: "Despite poor weather conditions everyone who took part on the day enjoyed the event in the knowledge that they were helping to raise much needed funds for such a worthwhile cause." The Children's Trust, Tadworth, provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities, complex health needs and acquired brain injury. Their services include the UK's largest paediatric brain injury rehabilitation centre, support in the community for children and young people with acquired brain injury (ABI), The School for Profound Education for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), short breaks, transitional, palliative and long-term nursing care.
