A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill following an incident involving several police units in Caterham on the Hill.

Officers were called to Thomas Avenue around 5.30pm on Thursday, 18 April following reports that a man had made threats towards another man known to him

Several units including the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter and armed response attended and carried out a search for the suspect.

Later a 43-year-old man from Caterham was arrested and is currently in police custody.
