Like many, I use mascara on a daily basis but sometimes get frustrated trying to find the right one to use. With this in mind I thought I would try eyelash extensions and paid a visit to Clare at Dermaline at 50 Westway, Caterham-on-the- Hill.

Clare was very friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions before taking me downstairs to a private room for the treatment. With soft music playing in the background, Claire explained the procedure which takes about one to one and a half hours and as I lay down on the bed I felt very relaxed as she talked me through each stage. The Nouveau Lashes are stateof- the-art semi-permanent lash extensions that give longer, thicker, very natural looking lashes. Soft and curved, they have a flat base and a fine, polished tip. I could choose from a variety of colours: Jet Black, Espresso Brown, Burgundy Red, Velvet Purple, Midnight Blue and Mountain Green that range in length from 6mm to 15mm. I opted for the black and Clare recommended the 12 mm length to suit my eyes.

Clare explained that the extensions are applied to the top lashes only and she protected my bottom lashes with tape. My eyes stayed shut throughout the procedure as Clare carefully applied the individual lashes to each of my own lashes using tweezers. Once finished Clare very gently removed the tape and wiped around my eyes.

I was so impressed when I looked in the mirror. The lashes looked wonderful and natural and made my eyes look so open. I will definitely be making a return visit, especially before my summer holiday!
