Now is the time to dig out the picnic baskets and dust off the parasols in preparation for another Party in the Park at Marden Lodge School next month. The Friends of Marden Lodge School in conjunction with East Surrey School of Art, Design and Media and Kestrels Children Centre are looking forward to welcoming another large audience to this popular family event to be held on Saturday, 15th May. The event will be held between 3pm and 10pm and tickets costing £5 each for adults and £3.50 for children are available from the Party in the Park website at www.pitp.org.uk
Children under three go free.
One of the organisers, Linda Smith, head of Kestrels Children's Centre, said: "We can't believe this is the third year of Party In The Park. The past two have been such a huge success that the Friends of Marden Lodge bowed down to pressure from our previous guests in order to "Give it another go"!
Live bands will be playing throughout the afternoon and evening and as on the previous two occasions, there will be plenty for the children to do, including bouncy castles and face painting plus activities such as karate, cookery, dance, drama, and art and craft workshops. There will also be refreshment stalls selling a variety of hot and cold food, beer, wine and much more.
Linda said: "The past two years have graced us with brilliant sunshine. If this year pushes our luck to the extreme, bring your wellies and think 'Glastonbury' because Party in the Park stops for nothing!"
