Tandridge District Council's Chairman for 2013/2014 is Councillor Beverley Connolly. The previous chairman, Councillor Sakina Bradbury, presented her with the ceremonial chain of office when she was elected at last night's Annual Council meeting. The Vice-Chairman of the Council, also elected at last night's meeting, is Councillor Elizabeth Parker, who represents the Oxted South Ward. Councillor Connolly has lived in the district for 17 years and has represented the Harestone Ward since 2003. For the past year she has been the Council's Vice-Chairman and has served on various committees. Her chosen charity is St. Catherine's Hospice which is dedicated to providing specialised end of life care to local people, their families, friends and carers. She will also be supporting the Soper Hall Community Centre Limited (a charity dedicated to revitalising the building) and the East Surrey Museum.
