The Warlingham Fair taking place tomorrow, 15th June, is celebrating its 20th anniversary so the theme will be 'Victorian' as it was for the first fair in 1993. The organisers are asking for stall holders and visitors to join in by wearing Victorian costumes. The fair is taking place at Blanchman's Farm, Limpsfield Road with the parade starting from Redvers Road at 10.45am, finishing at Blanchman's Farm. BBC TV's antiques expert Catherine Southon will be opening the fair at 11am. There will be a spectacular line-up in the arena including a falconry display, fun dog show, dance performances, a dog display and a tug o' war competition. Fair Chairman, Jeremy Pursehouse said: "We hope families will spend the whole day at the fair as there is plenty to see and do and lots to eat and drink. The only thing we haven't planned is the weather, but the fair will go ahead, no matter what!" |
